The Intake Process

Whether you’re transitioning from another service provider or new to ABA therapy, GBC will make sure your process is seamless.

Are you transferring services from another provider?

We provide a complimentary transition concierge service to allow for a smoother transition. Our goal is to make the transition between providers as streamlined as possible. We know that time is precious and spending unnecessary time working through the logistics of transferring care can be overwhelming. Here is what your intake process would look like.

Right from the start, GBC works as a team with you and your current provider to make the transition as smooth as possible.

  • Our intake team will provide on-going support during the transition.
  • We’ll work with your insurance company to transition the authorization to ensure there is no gap in services.
  • Our BCBAs will collaborate with the previous BCBA and care team during the assessment process to gather information on current programming.
  • We’ll work to schedule you as close as possible to your current appointments, as to keep your schedule consistent.
  • Our intake team will contact your previous care provider to get copies of treatment plans and data to facilitate continuity of care.

Are you new to ABA?

We know setting up ABA services can be a lot to navigate. That’s why we’re here to help. We’ll provide you with several resources and be your advocate along the way.

The intake process at GBC Autism Services is a 6-step process. Once insurance benefit information is verified, it usually takes 4-6 weeks to complete the assessment process (steps 2-4 below). ABA therapy will start in your home or in the clinic once all of the steps are complete.

GBC promises to be a key part of your care team from the start.

  • We’ll provide you with immediate access to countless ABA resources, including comprehensive guides and online courses.
  • Our intake team will provide on-going support during the onset of your services to make sure we’re meeting your family’s individual needs.
  • We’ll work with your insurance company to make sure services are covered and we’ll clearly outline your coverage to you. We’ll work with you to come up with a payment option that works for your family.
  • Our clinicians will collaborate with other service providers, like school or related services, to make sure we’re all working as a team toward common goals.
  • Our clinicians provide on-going individualized education, ensuring that you understand the scope of the program an
